This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how the Consumer Bankers Association (“CBA,” we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection to an individual’s (“you,” “your,” or “user”) use of our institutional website, our other websites, and our mobile application that links to this Policy (collectively, the “Services”). This Policy also describes your rights and choices with respect to the information we collect. Please read this Policy carefully. By using our Services, you agree to be bound by this Policy and consent to the collection, use, and sharing of information in a manner consistent with this Policy.

We may collect your personal information when you create an account on the Services, register for an event, or sign up for our newsletters and/or emails. provide may include, but it not limited to, contact information (such as first and last name, email address, mailing address, postal code, and phone number), payment information (such as billing address, credit card information, and bank account information), and account log-in credentials (such as usernames).
- Demographic and business-related information. We may collect demographic and other business-related information. Such information may include, but is not limited to, your job title and/or position, company’s name or affiliation, primary business, resume, cover letter, preferences, and interests.
- Event registration information. We and/or our third-party service providers, including CBA business partners or members, may collect additional information when you register for an event. Such information may include, but is not limited to, emergency contact details, hotel accommodations, dietary restrictions, and answers to event-related questions. - Activity data. To deliver a more personalized experience, when you access and interact with our Services, we may collect certain information about those visits. For example, when you access our Services, we automatically collect the device you use to access our Services, the pages you visit, time spent on our Services, and search terms you enter. When you interact with our Services, we may collect information that you provide to us directly, such as questions you ask us and/or responds to our surveys.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect from and about you, to:
- Provide our Services, features, products, educational programs and events to you;
- Provide our Services, features, products, and events to our corporate and associate members and administer their interactions with CBA as described in the section below titled_ Third-Party Analytics and Interest-Based Advertising_;
- Send customized communications to you regarding your account, registered events or conference, updated Services and/or other administrative matters;
- Send newsletters, promotional messages, and advertising as described in the section below titled Third-Party Analytics and Interest-Based Advertising;
- Analyze and improve our Services and web content;
- Gather and compile users’ data to be shared to CBA event sponsors, partners or other third parties; and
- Comply with applicable laws, legal processes, and/or respond to requests from public or governmental entities, as described in the section below titled How We Share Information.
How We Share Your Information

- Service Providers. We may share information to third-party service providers who assist CBA in the operation of the Services, including to manage our communications, newsletters, provide event registration services, process payments, process aggregated data, and conduct analytics and interest-based advertising. We may allow these third-party service providers to collect information on our behalf or share information with these services for the purposes described in this Policy.
- CBA Members. We may share information of event attendees or participant lists with our corporate and/or associate members.
- CBA Event Sponsors and Exhibitors. We may share information with organizations that sponsor events with us or otherwise partner with us in connection with such events to provide to provide events or services to you.
- Business Transition. In the event CBA goes through a business transition, such as a merger, sale of capital stock or assets, reorganization, bankruptcy, consolidation or similar transition, your information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred. If, due to a business transition, your information is used differently, this Policy will be reviewed and updated.
- Legal Disclaimer. We may need to disclose information when:
- Required by law wherein we have a good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or other legal process served on us;

- Sharing your information with CBA business partners for their marketing purposes. If you wish to not have your information shared with CBA business partners for their direct marketing purposes, you may opt-out by sending a request to the email address or postal mail address listed in the Contact Us section at the bottom of this Policy.
- Changing, updating or deleting information. If you wish to change, update or delete information that you have provided to use for any reason at all, you may do so by sending a request to the email address or postal mail address listed in the Contact Us section at the bottom of this Policy.
Please remember that even after you ask us to change, update or delete your information, copies of some information may remain viewable in some circumstances where, for example, you have shared information with other Services. CBA may retain back up information related to your account on our web servers for some time after your request for deletion, to comply with applicable law.

CBA is a U.S. non-profit organization that operates a co-regulatory program in the U.S. for U.S. consumers. Your information may be transferred to, processed, stored, and accessed by us and our service providers in the U.S. and in any other jurisdiction where we or they operate, which may not provide you the same level of privacy protection as you are entitled to in your jurisdiction. Use of Services by Children
Our Services are not intended for use by children under the age of thirteen (13). We do not target any of our Services content and features for children under thirteen (13).
